Sergei Sobyanin: TIH "Botanical Garden" was designed upon the project of the Japanese architectural bureau

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced Pioneer Group the successful bidder in choosing the investor of construction of the transport interchange hub (TIH), “Botanical Garden”. The message about that was published in the official account of the Moscow mayor in the micro blogging service Twitter. “The TIH “Botanical Garden” will improve the traffic situation in the area and will create thousands of new jobs,” – said Sergei Sobyanin in the message.

Development company “Pioneer” (part of Pioneer Group) has won the open tender for the right to buy a 100% stake in the charter capital of OOO “Botanical Garden”, which was held on March 2. “The transport interchange hub “Botanical Garden” is planned to be built near the future station of the Small ring of the railway and the southern vestibule of the “Botanichesky Sad” metro station in three years. The project of the TIH was prepared with the participation of the leading Japanese architectural bureau Nikken Sekkei with more than a 100-year history. As part of the TPU several types of transport will be combined in a single complex: Moscow Ring Railway, metro, buses and cars. The project will not only facilitate the transport situation in the region, but also create new jobs, “- said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The integrated concept of the project involves creation of three compactly arranged functional areas. The first and most important is the technological part of the TPU, combining transport infrastructure. The second zone is the administrative, business and commercial block: shopping and office centers, as well as an apartment hotel.

In total the project includes development of two land plots with the total area of over 3.3 hectares, where Pioneer Group will build about 135 thousand sq. m. of real estate (110 thousand of them will be the aboveground area of the facilities). There will also be created a parking space for 1 thousand cars. The third zone is residential buildings: a modern district LIFE-Botanic Garden, which Pioneer Group is planning to construct as part of the redevelopment of the industrial zone by 2018.
