Pioneer Group took part in the annual Hospitality Industry Forum Russia 2016, which was held at the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre hotel from 25 to 26 February. The innovative business model implemented in the construction of the YE’S apart-hotel aroused great interest among the experts and delegates at the event.
Representatives of Pioneer Group spoke in several sessions of the Forum. On the first day of the event the CEO of the YE’S apartment hotels network Alexander Pogodin spoke about the unique development experience of a type new for the Russian commercial real estate market. According to him, in contrast to the classical hotels, selling apartments allows to return the investment into the project already at the construction phase. After commissioning the Apart-hotel, the professional management company undertakes renting it out. The experience of the first project, which was realized in St. Petersburg two years ago, allows to say that apart-hotels are characterized by higher occupancy levels than classic hotels, said Alexander Pogodin.
On the second day of the hotel forum Pioneer Group was represented by the manager of Moscow YE’S apart-hotel Andrew Zhamkin. Together with the leading experts in the hospitality market, he participated in a discussion devoted to the portrait of the modern consumer of hotel services. The panel members agreed that the principles of how apart-hotels work differ from the classical hotels. Renting rooms out for at least one month, the company is working with another type of customers, so it can not compete with hotels, practicing daily rent.
At the end of the forum a special format of work was offered to its audience – the working groups in the round-table format. Andrew Zhamkin participated in one of them, discussing the opportunities for managing quality of service in a hotel. In just a few hours along with two other experts, our delegates were able to discuss a number of important issues, including the practice of buying the Mystery Guest service and of checking the booking service, as well as customer surveys and analysis of reviews in booking systems.
Hospitality Industry Forum is held by the Meeting Point company since 2008. The event brings together representatives of the leading international hotel operators, hotel managers, small hotels and hostels, real estate development, investment and management companies.
